Changing account details

Change your account information

First, you need to log in with the e-mail and password you used to register. Once you have logged in, at the top of any page, you can find your username. Move the cursor on top of it and select Settings. There you can change your profile photo, first and last names, e-mail, and password. In addition, you can add any information you find relevant to mention.

Contacting your host

Asking questions before you book a trip

  • To reach a host, you you can easily message them in their listing’s page.
  • Once your booking is confirmed, you can easily access your host’s contact details.
  • Log in to your account and navigate to the booking details page to find the host’s contact information.
  • Check the vehicle listing for information, and then follow up with a message to the host.
  • Cancel the request if the response is unsatisfactory, or cancel the trip if the host accepts it without answering the question.

Sending a message to your host

  • During a trip, Tuuggo’s chat system is useful to ask questions, get directions, send pictures, and discuss any issues you may have with your host.

  • Select the booked trip and click “Send Message” to send a message to the host.

  • When reaching out to your host, it is helpful to introduce yourself and provide relevant booking details.
  • If you have specific questions or requests, clearly outline them in your initial message to ensure efficient communication.
  • Hosts are typically responsive and aim to provide timely assistance. However, response times may vary depending on their availability and time zones.
  • While waiting for a response, please allow some reasonable time for the host to reply. If it’s an urgent matter, mention it in your message.
  • Maintain a friendly and respectful tone when communicating with your host.
  • Clearly communicate your needs, concerns, or questions, and avoid using offensive or inappropriate language.

Troubleshooting communication issues

If you experience difficulties contacting your host or do not receive a response within a reasonable time frame, reach out to our customer support team for assistance. Provide them with relevant booking details and information about the communication issue.

Emergency situations

  • In case of emergencies during your trip, please follow any emergency protocols or instructions provided by your host.
  • If immediate assistance is required, contact local emergency services as appropriate for your location. The emergency number in Portugal is 112.

Providing feedback

After your trip, consider leaving feedback for your host. This helps the host improve their hosting experience and assists future guests in making informed decisions.

Closing your account

Implications of closing your account

  • Cancels any forthcoming trips which may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Holds you financially responsible for unpaid tickets, tolls, fees, reimbursements, or claims related to previous trips.
  • Removes whatever vehicles you listed on the platform.

In order to reopen your account, you must reach Tuuggo directly at admin@tuuggo.com

How to delete your account

  • Log in to Tuuggo and go to Settings.
  • If you wish to close your account, type your password and click “Delete Account”.

  • We maintain your data for specific periods based on the type of information collected.
  • If you wish to delete your personal information, reach out to us and we will provide any assistance you may need.
